About Me – Personal Journey Blog

I am a retired police officer and pastor. I was a certified personal trainer for few years and a certified fitness nutrition specialist. Since leaving policing 10 years ago I have allowed myself to gain a little weight since then.

This will be a personal journey blog on how I regained my fitness and lost weight.

MY TOPIC OF FOCUS

Fitness, equipment, nutrition and spiritual development will be my main topics.

A couple of days ago, I was out to supper with a friend. He writes articles about his faith and sends them to different people. I asked him who he sends them to. It turns out it was to his contacts, all who already are on board.

I asked him if he wanted to reach a wider audience and we got talking about starting a blog. Neither of us had a blog before I was giving him some suggestions about other people he could talk to who had blogs.

Starting the Blog

When I got home I realized I had built a website for the church and a blog and a website are very similar. As it happened, I was going to start a program to lose weight the next day (Sept 1st) so I thought I would start a fitness and nutritional blog to record my progress.

As I thought about the blog, I realized I could also talk about nutrition, exercise and spiritual matters. I had been a certified personal trainer, a certified sport nutrition specialist and a pastor so I was quite familiar with all these subjects.

This Personal Journey Blog will cover all these subjects as well as follow my journey to lose weight.

By the way, I am not a spring chicken. I am 70 years old and although possibly decrepit, I have a lot of experience.
